Pekins Ferry wedding

Kris O'Tey, Amy, and their adorable son Max tied the knot, and I had the opportunity to photograph their special day. The wedding was held outdoors near water which made excellent backdrops. Kris and Amy's family have the amazing property the wedding took place on. It made for an pretty sweet camping setup for the friends to stay over night and indulge in the celebration responsibly...What a great idea!

Here are some shots, feedback is appreciated (click to enlarge):

I must say, the groomsmen are looking like a mafia.

Banksy on NW 23rd?

Today I came across a very pleasant surprise while walking about The City of Roses, a.k.a. Portland, Oregon. Portland is known for having hip, artsy neighborhoods, but NW 23rd might just take the cake for the the hippest, most laid back area in PDX. Equally hip and potentially laid back, graffiti artist Banksy may have made an appearance upon a building located on 23rd. For those of you who haven't heard of the graffiti artist, Banksy I am significantly surprised, because he is recognized worldwide; his fame is particularly unusual because no one knows for sure who Banksy's true identity is. Illusive by the nature of his work, Banksy continues to be a mystery. It's quite possible that Banksy could have a following that is recreating Bansky pieces around the world(possibly, even on an artsy avenue in Portland); however, I like the story far better that illustrates Banksy himself creeping in the dark to create a masterpiece to be seen in the daylight.

Check out these images I captured of a possible Banksy piece (click to enlarge):

Banksy with a psychedelic twist.

I can't wait to adventure around the city searching for the possibility to see more in person!

A new Addition to the Mercer Family.

I've returned again blogosphere! I have been out of town and all around the past few weeks but I plan on updating my blog as well as getting with my website guru and establishing a real life website (yay!) within the next week.

Let me begin updating my blog by sharing with you the lovely wedding of Shawn and Leesa Mercer. I had the pleasure of accompanying my amazing photographer friend, Elyse Canfield to the Mercer knot tying. Not only was the ceremony/reception beautiful but the couple literally could be on the cover of a magazine, see for yourself... by the way you can click to enlarge:

My first preggo shoot x2

Today I shot my first expectant mother shoot at Lewisville Park in Battle Ground, WA. Not only did I have one round belly to shoot but two. Sisters, Tiffany and Stephanie magically have the same due date! Here are some images I've edited, keep in mind my website isn't finished.

More Brown's looking snazzy.

Here are some more images from the Brown's wedding. I also just bought a domain name, woohoo! It will probably be a few weeks before the website is completely up and running. Here is the official website of Ashley Griswold photography: www.ashleygriswold.com

Keep in mind it will be a minute before it's up to par :)

'Izzy' is the cutest.

Blurry Lights at the Starlight Parade.

Portland has loved it's parade's recently....it seems like the roads have been closed pretty often for different events downtown. I had only been to Ridgefield's fourth of July parade which is far different from Portland's rendition. I loved the concept of a parade at night it made for some awesome slow shutter night shots, and also that the parade ended near my place! These images are from the Starlight Parade:

Brown's Wedding Sneak Peak.

After eighteen days of miserable rain in the northwest Hailee and Mike's wedding day last weekend was incredibly lucky to get the first sunshine in quite some time. I had a grand time shooting along side my lovely photographer friend, Tara from One Love Photography. Here's a sneak peak of some photos I've edited so far:

This is one of my favorites Izzy is adorable, just look at those eyes

Ironically, both Mike and Hailee have the last name Brown...it made it slightly challenging rounding up all of the Brown's on the property!
